Uh oh! Let's Hope Barbara Anderson doesn't listen to Jim Braude

Back in April, when Charlie Baker was running against Christy Mihos for the Republican nomination, he had to make a lot of promises. One of the toughest was the one he made to Barbara Anderson - (was she thinking about supporting Christie?). He promised his big tax cut plan would happen "ON DAY ONE!"

Unfortunately, just last week in a radio debate, when asked how it would be possible to cut $2.5 Billion from the state budget and not dramatically cut state services, Charlie Baker changed his mind. Barbara's gonna be ticked off!

Jim Braude: You have this 5, 5, 5 plan; cut the sales tax, the corporate tax, the income tax to 5%, that's 2 and half billion. Another 2 and half deficit. You also promise no cuts in local aid.

You have this cost savings plan, you say will save a billion. Mass Taxpayers says $500 Million...

Charlie Baker: Other people say a billion too.

Jim Braude: Well even if it is a billion, that's a four billion dollar hole; How do you fill that?

Charlie Baker: Well you don't get it all at once, obviously.

So what does that mean for the real world? Either the promise to Barbara Anderson was phony, or you need to rely on Charlie Baker's World Math. We all know how that works.

We'll let you decide which it is.

Welcome to Charlie Baker's World

Welcome to Charlie Baker's world: a tongue-in-cheek look at a special place where Charlie Baker can use "facts" that aren't true; a place where, when things don't go well, it isn't his fault or he wasn't involved; a place where anything might happen.
