In Charlie Baker's world, it can be hard to tell who your friends are. Last week, we followed up on the great work David Bernstein over at Talking Politics in the Phoenix has done detailing how Charlie Baker has been palling around with extremest Republican candidate Bill Hudak. Then, Jim Braude asked Charlie if he is planning to vote for Bill. Charlie said--well actually, Charlie didn't say much at all. Watch for yourself:
I guess Charlie decided it is easier to kick them all out of Charlie Baker's World instead of having to answer questions about if he supports them or not. First Hudak had to go, and now Jeff Perry. You remember Jeff, don't you? Like Old Hudack, Perry was starting to generate some uncomfortable questions. And now this from the Cape Cod Today:
Charlie Baker's press secretary issued the following press release statement at a Forum Meeting in Yarmouth earlier poday: "Charlie Baker will not endorse any of the running candidates at this time." after being asked, "Are you still supporting Jeff Perry's candidacy after the recent exposes about his untruthful statements to the Mass Bar and his fake diploma?"
In Charlie Baker's World, you don't have to say if you support a candidate or not, you can just pretend they don't exist. We'll see how that works out for him. We will also make sure to keep an eye on who Charlie will be palling around with next. Stay tuned....
