People in Charlie Baker's World

In Charlie Baker's World, there are some interesting characters lurking in the corners. Funny thing is no one wants to talk about what they are doing there.

Take Bill Hudak, Republican Candidate for the United State Congress, for example. This guy certainly has interesting taste in lawn signs. In 2008, he decorated his yard with signs that depicted President Barack Obama as terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Hudak also had "proof" printed off the Internet that Barack Obama was really born in Kenya. In the real world, usually candidates for statewide office would steer clear of such a character.

Instead in Charlie Baker's World, he attends Hudak fundraisers and can't really explain why he is there.

"I don't know where I'm going to be or who I'm going to be with between now and the end of the race.''

Then some photos turned up on Charlie Baker's own campaign website of a supporter wearing a shirt that compares President Obama to Hitler.

In the real world, this type of photo raises a red flag somewhere between the camera flash and a campaign website to become Governor of the Commonwealth. Not so much in Charlie Baker's World where responsibility is deflected to others.

"It's clear the Patrick campaign ... will do whatever it takes to bring this campaign into the gutter.''

In the real world, palling around with Hudak brings them closer to that gutter.

Wow. I heard about these things in the news a couple weeks ago. The stories sort of just died out. Have you seen the video about him? http://bit.ly/ayaNb2

Welcome to Charlie Baker's World

Welcome to Charlie Baker's world: a tongue-in-cheek look at a special place where Charlie Baker can use "facts" that aren't true; a place where, when things don't go well, it isn't his fault or he wasn't involved; a place where anything might happen.
