It's a gloomy day in Charlie Baker's World-- and Earl's not even here yet. Believing that campaigns are won "on the airwaves", Charlie's gone and spent $3,500,000 on TV commercials before Labor Day. Trouble is--they don't seem to working very well.
Describing the results of their new poll, Rasmussen says:
The current figures are little changed from a month ago.
Meanwhile, the Deval Patrick team is on a roll. As seen in today's Globe, the Dems, led by the Patrick/ Murray ticket, have out raised the Republicans more than 2-1 in the month of August!
Patrick, Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray, and the state Democratic Party together hauled in $988,127 last month, easily outpacing the $418,581 raised by Charles D. Baker, his running mate, Senate minority leader Richard R. Tisei, and the state Republican Party, according to state records and campaign tallies.
Sorry Charlie.
In more bad news, poor Charlie can't seem to shake Tim Cahill. Mississippi's Haley Babour sent millions of dollars to try to knock him out for Charlie and he's still here.
But this is Charlie Baker's World where problems are very easy to fix--- put a happy face on Twitter Team Baker and do it ASAP:
@Bakerforgov "New TV ad and new poll show great momentum!"
