Replying to Jim Walsh's comment above--I think the idea is to assess relative responsibility using percentage of personnel and of budget as surrogate measures. It's a clever idea but risks being too clever by half--as Jim's reply evidences. I also worry that going after just one opponent like this signals rather blatantly that he's the one the Dems and/or the incument are worried about. I'm not the strategist, here, but is this really such a good message to be sending?

I agree with the above comments. We can do much better than this.

I think it's a great start. Though the numbers part is confusing. I think with the Big Dig sticking to a simpler message of "what part did he play". #1 His title during the Big Dig, Finance Adminster, if I'm not correct, should be plastered over his name with dates of that positon against the a video of him saying I was one of many other people responsible. It happened on his watch.

#2 His statement that the Big Dig started way before he joined Weld/Celucci administration. Sorry, planning a new highway confirguation is not the same as the person who implemented and did the hiring. I can have an idea about a great party, but if someone else hosts the party and puts it together and it flops, whose responsible.

So does this mean charlie baker can just go on vacation until November? This is the big coming out swinging moment? Really Deval's people? Really?

It does none of these. In fact it does the opposite.
